In this test, PVC tiles from Fortelock and a cheaper China
product were tested under different loads.
We have tested two different PVC tiles here. The first is a
cheaper version from China, and the second is from Fortelock.
The PVC tiles from Fortelock are very flexible and can
withstand a fall from glass bottles and other containers without damage.
They have a shock absorbing effect and prevent the glass bottle
from breaking immediately.
There is a clear difference in the floor adhesion. The first
tile moves a lot when hit, while the second tile of Fortelock has a better grip
on the ground and moves only minimally. This is because Fortelock's tiles have
small crosses on the backside that allow for better traction.
The PVC tiles we tested are brand new so it is easier to see
scratches and damage. It is not possible to break the tile of Fortelock, even
with heavy and sharp objects.
For this reason, we threw an eight-kilogram vice on it to
show how the tiles behave under such loads. You can clearly see that a dent has
been made in the tile.
The China tile breaks after just a few blows with the
hammer.
Overall, we tested PVC tiles from Fortelock and a cheaper
China variant under various loads. The tiles from Fortelock proved to be more
flexible, more resistant and offer better floor grip.
